Home Centre room makeovers: before and after

In a recent edition of House & Home, we covered the second annual Home Centre Room Makeover Contest, which saw Home Centre hand out room makeovers worth Dh10,000 to 20 winners across the GCC. Around 3,500 people entered the competition in the hope of winning a revamped room.

For Qatar resident Omar Zareed, the competition presented an opportunity to transform his children’s four-foot-square bedroom into a comfortable, clutter-free space where they could sleep, play and study.
Before:

After:

The room is now a comfortable, clutter-free zone where the children can sleep, play and study.
Minali Bajaj Al Sayed wanted to transform her brother-in-law’s bachelor pad into a “newlyweds’ haven” for him and his new wife.
Before:

The Home Centre team was tasked with transforming the bachelor pad into a room that was more fitting for a newlywed couple.
After:

The walls were painted peach, and were complemented with walnut furniture and bedding and accessories in white and peach.
