In our special Local Heroes issue of House & Home in March, one of our featured artists was the Abu Dhabi-based illustrator Kate Forrester, whose seriously beautiful hand-drawn typography has graced the pages of The National and been commissioned by an impressive roll call of international clients including Tiffany, Harvey Nichols and Penguin Book.
As she mentioned when we spoke to her, she has been working on a new range of laser-cut paper letters which will go on display at the brand new BodyTree villa studios in Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi on 20th of this month.
She’s given us this couple of shots as a sneak preview, and tomorrow we’re heading down to her studio to take a look at the whole alphabet.
Look out for a feature on this in the coming weeks.
Each letter will be mounted in a smart glass frame, ready to hang, and will be available to buy from Kate directly. She will also be accepting orders for bespoke pieces.
You can see more of Kate’s extraordinary work here. We look forward to owning a piece of it.
